Finish it by today
At the beginning of this year I wrote I would write 2 posts per week and I’m painfully behind already. I examined the reasons in my previous post, so this one is going to be a little bit different. What have I been up to?
Well, apart from working out a lot and starting to feel like I’m getting too big for my clothes. No wait, apart from ACTUALLY being getting too big for my clothes, I’ve simply prioritized work and a few more things. Mostly recovering from my weeks in Italy, which were meh. Here’s a simple updated for getting me closer to reaching the quota (not a cheater).
I’ve finished listening to San Fransicko, which was a very, very interesting audiobook on homelessness and how progressives have been destroying cities by treating it as a housing problem (it’s mostly not).
I’ve also read this fantastic book called “The Status Game”, that frames humans as status seeking machines. I’ve always know that status makes you attractive, that women are generally attracted by status*, that some people are status seekers. I never really thought about what status means and how it can take different forms. I will write about this book soon, because it was illuminating.
I have learned to do some pixel art and I’m slowly trying to get into game development, even though I feel like I’m wasting my time wanting to know the basics without actually building anything. This will have to change soon. I’ll change this soon, since I have a couple of ideas.
I have been writing lists of ideas. Some suck, some are worse, but that isn’t the point.
I have been recording another cover and it’s coming out unbelievably well. It’s still bad, but it sucks less than the previous two. I am now realizing I should probably post them here and will do.
I created this post yesterday and finished it today. God, my life is a joke.
*Funny enough, no one bats an eye when you say that men are attracted by physical appearance but every single time I mention this I have to be careful to avoid getting into a fight with someone. I am just making broad assumptions from an anthropological point of view, not describing you or the people you know. If someone tells you the average life of a person is 74, there’s not point bringing up your aunt who’s 85, is there?
